Rachel Conlisk

Director of Creative Active Lives CIC

Rachel Conlisk, Director of Creative Active Lives and Spinsonic Circus has been teaching hula hooping since 2013, and teaching circus since 2016.  She specialises in Minecraft, circus style hula hooping, bubbleology,  and has performed on TV and on stage across the UK. She founded Spinsonic Entertainment in 2014, which led her to start Creative Active Lives as a not for profit org in 2019, to support people with dementia, autism, neurodiversities, physical and learning disabilities. 

Experienced in a school setting, care home and community settings, and in working with vulnerable groups and people with additional needs, Rachel is passionate about improving physical and mental wellbeing and social interaction through fun physical activity.

Rachel is a Board Member of Active Black Country, a finalist in the Natwest Great British Entrepreneur of the Year, Unltd Award winner, a Small Biz 100 alumni, named one of the Top 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs in the f:Entrepreneur i:also Top 100, attending receptions at the House of Lords and Number 10 Downing Street celebrating business leaders.

 

Anna is Finance and Compliance Manager. Anna deals with all things finance, policy, HR, compliance and makes sure that everything runs smoothly. 

Ruth and Meg are our Resident Artists, who you may have met at HAF clubs around the Midlands, events, our Dementia Friendly Friendship Cafes in West Bromwich and Smethwick, or at HAF clubs and SEND youth groups around the Midlands & beyond.

Between us we provide inclusive, sensory, and large scale creative arts workshops for all ages and abilities. Dementia friend trained, DBS checked, and experienced in sessions for children and adults with SEND, and large scale busy event workshops.

Meet our Play Team! You can find them at our HAF holiday camps for Sandwell MBC, and our afterschool and Saturday Inclusive Family Fun Clubs funded by Go Play Sandwell.

Our team hold enhanced DBSs, are Safeguarding trained, experienced in SEND, play work and educational settings, and are committed to providing the best experiences for children!
