We are hiring seasonal workers for our busy events seasons in the Easter, Summer and Xmas School holidays, with additional ad hoc weekend work.

We provide holiday camp, festival, and event entertainment and workshops. We employ professional tutors to lead sessions but we also need staff as stewards, provide assistance, and to train to manage holiday camp provision and certain activities, such as pop up mini golf and smoothie bike.

We operate mainly around Birmingham and the Black Country, with occasional work further afield. All equipment and full training provided.

We are looking for candidates with experience of working with children and young people ideally, calm under pressure, able to communicate confidently and politely  with people of all ages in busy environments.  There is a degree of physical work involved in some activities, involving lifting and carrying heavy boxes, and bending down and moving equipment to set up and pack down.

You would assist in planning, organising and take part in play and leisure activities for 7 to 11 year olds.  You could facilitate activities such as art, crafts, sports  and outdoor games. You would be present at sessions led by artists and professional tutors for sessions including pottery, circus skills, and more.

You would:

  • Plan activities with the children
  • Organise play areas, materials and equipment
  • Encourage fair and caring behaviour among the children
  • Encourage independence and self-esteem
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals
  • Keep records
  • Ensure safeguarding policy adhered
  • Encourage the children to be aware of their own safety and that of others.

Lots of energy and a good sense of humour needed, along with a friendly, positive can-do attitude.

Employment will be on a zero hours contract, PAYE basis with an hourly rate of £10.50 – 15 per hour depending on skills/experience. You will be required to provide 2 references, ID, proof of Right to Work in the UK, and  hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, or prepared to apply for one if you don’t already hold one (we will do this for you).
