Job Title: Session Digital Youth Worker – Online Social Clubs
Organisation: Creative Active Lives CIC / DigiTribe
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract: Zero-hours
Pay: £12.50 gross per hour + 12.07% holiday pay
About the Role
We are looking for a sessional Digital Youth Worker to lead our weekly online gaming social clubs for neurodivergent children and young people. These clubs are safe, supportive spaces where young people can connect, play, and build friendships through platforms such as Minecraft, Roblox, and other online games.
The role is session-based and focused on leading and facilitating these weekly clubs. You’ll create an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere, encourage positive interactions, and help young people feel part of a community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate weekly online gaming youth clubs (e.g. Minecraft, Roblox, Lego or similar).
- Create a safe, inclusive, and fun online space for young people to socialise and play.
- Encourage teamwork, communication, and positive peer interactions.
- Support participants to feel confident and included, respecting different needs and abilities.
- Complete basic admin after each session (e.g. logging attendance, short notes/evaluations).
- Report safeguarding concerns in line with our policies.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience working with children or young people in youth work, education, or community settings.
- Confidence in using and moderating online platforms (Minecraft, Roblox, Discord, Zoom, etc.).
- A positive, patient, and inclusive approach to supporting neurodivergent children and young people.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with groups online.
- Willingness to complete safeguarding training and hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS.
- Personal or professional experience with neurodiversity.
Desirable:
- Skills in digital creativity (e.g. coding, game design, music, video) that could enhance sessions.
